Welcome to the Mannequin Mouth online archive.
Part of Mannequin Mouth's ethos is about combating the limitations in the accessibility of theatre. When one of our shows finishes its theatrical run, we take the time to film the production in its space. What distinguishes our approach to recorded theatre is the fact that it is not filmed with a live audience present. Instead, the cameras are handheld and free to roam in the space amongst the action, following the actors and thrusting the viewer directly into the middle of the performance. These films are recorded specifically to be watched at home, their own separate experience to the live show - cinematic recorded theatre that can be accessible to all.
Primrose Path, our first recorded production, was made available here in June 2020.
Armageddon, Baby!, our sophomore filmed production, can be watched here as of 7pm on Saturday 4th September 2021.
Cats. Cocaine. Impending doom. Six disparate housemates face demons both inner and outer when they are confronted with Armageddon on their doorstep.
